Don't think that admission to UCF is a given because it isn't. There is a huge emphasis on the "total student". They want a good, solid academic background, as well as proven, quality extracurricular experiences.

I went to a community college which means I get admitted to a 4-year school in Florida but it also means I'm restricted from several majors. Study and use this school to build up credits and raise your GPA to transfer to another school you want to graduate from. You can be dumb as sin here only if you're rich. UCF wants you to get done in 4 years but then they don't provide all the classes you need for that. It's called "U Can't Finish " for a reason. So, if you have to work your way through school, be ready to transfer elsewhere eventually. You will cry so much dealing with the bureacracy here. It's easy to get admitted but unethical in how many ways the school keeps you from graduating.
